April 24th 2010 - Snowden Grove Amphitheater
One of the coolest shows ever! We opened for Luke Brian who has a freakin awesome band. What a crowd - like 11,000!!!. From the St. Ann Show on Friday night, I somehow left my stick bag inbetween St. Ann in Bartlett, Tennessee to Snowden Grove in Southaven, Mississippi. I borrowed a pair of sticks from Kent Slucher - the drummer for Luke Brian - and after we played, Kent took me to the stage and took his snare drum off of his drum riser and gave it to me. Told me I was in inspiration...is that crazy? Kent then came to the Young Guns dressing room and talked to all of us and gave us some advice and just hung out for awhile and told us how much he was impressed. Man what a cool dude, awesome drummer and my vote for coolest dude on the planet. Brandon Russell
April 23rd 2010 - St Ann Bartlett Block Party
Outdoor festival that rained so they moved us inside. Still a good turnout. We blew the power when we rocked BURN!!! That was kinda cool but it ended the show early.
April 17th - Starkville, Mississippi - Cotton Festival
Great crowd, great day - hot! Lot of college girls! We sold a ton of cd's. On the way home we stopped at a place called Stafford's Big Burger in West Point, MS. The girls that worked there kept staring at us thru the window. They finally reconized us from a show in Meridian when we opened for Eric Church. They were super cool and told us to come back - which we will because their food rocked. We autographed a CD and headed back to Memphis - Thanks D'Juana Cummings for taking care of (and feeding) the Young Guns. See ya next time thru! - Brandon Russell
